Zoe's Community Life Project is wrapping up today. With parent's permission, send a video of you in your class A uniform singing a song, telling a joke, or saying something encouraging to , be sure to CC your parent. Make sure your message is positive, something that would make you smile! Zoe will be editing them together and sending to different senior houses and hospitals in order to brighten someone's day. Do not use any personal information in your video. For a copy of the flyer or more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Today.

Ben and Alex are organizing a second meeting for our next meeting...
You or your parents should already have recieved a code for registering on Discord. Please contact Mr. Day, Alex, or Ben if you did not recive a code. (The last code sent should not expire.)
We are still testing the technology and next week will either have a Google Hangout/Class room for Scoutmaster Conferences and new scout skills.
You or your parents should be recieving a Sign-Up genius to sign up for slots helping to moderate our online meetings. Without more parents in on the channels, we can only have the one channel. If you would like to break up into patrol meetings, we will need at least 10 parents registered with our troop with YPT training moderating the 5 channels.
In a more specific request: Looking for 6 parents to help moderate new scout chat and a MB class each week. Right now we have over a dozen new scouts who have not yet achieved Scout rank and we need to provide a place to practice these with video meetings. I know some of you have your YPT training from cub scouts, you mostly are just there to allow the meeting to take place, but if you know your scout skills you can feel free to help teach as well:
Room #1: New Scout Skills
Room #2: New Scout Skills
Room #0: Scout Master Conference (I will be in this room. Mrs. Day just renewed her YPT to help out here.)
Scouting from Home
Here is a guide from Black Feather District on Scouting from Home.
For newer Scouts: this is the perfect time to work on being able to repeat the Scout Oath, Law, Motto, and Slogan by memory. Check out the requirements of the Scout Rank in the attached BSA Requirements file. Parents must complete requirement #6 with their Scout. See this link for more information:
This is also the perfect time for new Scouts to start working on requirement 6 in Tenderfoot, which is a fitness requirement requiring tracking activities for 30 days. Or to complete their Cyber Chip for their grade.
Virtual MB Classes Avalilable at CAP
In these unprecedented times, it is more important than ever to engage and entertain our children. Here at CAP, we always seek to provide quality programming for youth. Now that we can't do that in person, we have gone virtual!
CAP's first Virtual Merit Badge is here, and great news: it's actually three Merit Badges in one! Starting this weekend, CAP will be offering the Citizenship in the Community, Nation and World Merit Badges via Zoom! The class will be conducted with live instructors to keep the class engaged and informed. This class will complete all three Citizenship Merit Badges and have the three Blue Cards sent to you after completion. No paid subscription to Zoom is necessary.
Find out more at the link below, and keep your eyes out for more virtual options to come!
