June 4-10, 2023

Camp Alexander is located in the beautiful Eleven Mile Canyon in the Pike National Forest approximately 45 miles west of Colorado Springs. They offer a First Class Center for scouts working on Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class requirements. For older scouts, they offer lots of merit badges with an emphasis on those that can be best taught outdoor.

We will have an increased focus this year on advancing the leadership skills that the scouts learn at the March leadership campout and Big Horn. Scouts holding or planning to hold leadership positions in the Troop are encouraged to attend Camp Alexander. A sign-up sheet is available at Troop meetings. More information on the camp will be available shortly.

Scouts will camp alongside troops from Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. We’ll be in canvas platform tents.

Quality food is prepared and served in the Elks Lodge Dining hall three times daily.

Equipment lists will be available so you can be sure your Scout is adequately prepared to camp on his own. We’ll also be looking for adults to attend as leaders, let us know if you’re interested.
